Privacy

VORS has no accounts, no analytics and no ads. Almost nothing ever leaves your phone.

The short version

  • No account needed. We do not know who you are.
  • Your crew’s names are stored on your phone only, and never sent to us.
  • No analytics, no ads, no tracking — neither in the app nor on vorsappen.no.
  • The website sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts.
  • Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your card, your name or your Apple Account.

Who is responsible

Apperio AS, company no. 930 990 337, Fjerdingen 17, 3050 Mjøndalen, is the data controller for the personal data described here, under the GDPR and the Norwegian Personal Data Act.

What is processed, and where it goes

Your crew (the names you type in)
Stored locally in the app on your phone, so the crew is still there next time you play. The names never leave the phone — we do not receive them, and we do not back them up anywhere. Remove a player in the app, or delete the app, and they are gone.
Game content (questions, statements, cards, categories)
Ships inside the app, so VORS works offline. When you are online the app pulls a fresh read-only copy from our database at Supabase. The request contains nothing about you — no account, no id, no device identifier. As with any web request, the server sees the IP address and a technical client string in its operational logs.
Pack purchases
The payment itself happens at Apple. To know which packs you own we use RevenueCat, which gives your phone a random, anonymous app user ID — stored on the phone — and keeps Apple’s receipt along with technical device and app information. That ID is not linked to a name, an email or an Apple Account, and we cannot use it to work out who you are. It is what makes “Restore purchases” possible.
House rules you write yourself
They stay in the app while you play. The text is never sent to us, and it is not stored anywhere but with you.
The motion sensor
The dice game listens for a shake while the roll screen is open, and only then. The reading stays on the phone, is not stored and is not sent anywhere.
The “invite your crew” share
Opens the standard iOS share sheet with a ready-made message. You decide whether, how and to whom anything is sent. We never learn about it.

VORS has no sign-in, no profile, no contacts access, no location, no notifications and no access to photos or the microphone.

Who else is involved

Supabase
The database holding the game content. Hosted in the EU (Stockholm). The app has read access only.
RevenueCat
Keeps track of which packs a phone has bought. A US provider.
Apple
Distributes the app and sells the packs. Apple is its own controller for the purchase, under its own privacy policy.
Vercel
Hosts vorsappen.no and logs ordinary technical requests for operations and security.

None of them may use the data for their own purposes. We sell nothing on, and share nothing with advertisers or data brokers — we have nothing to share.

RevenueCat and Apple are in the US. Transfers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long things are kept

The crew on your phone
Until you remove the players in the app or delete the app. We cannot delete it for you — we do not have it.
Operational logs (Supabase, Vercel)
Deleted automatically by the provider after a short period, [LOG RETENTION].
Purchase data (RevenueCat, Apple)
For as long as the purchase is valid. The packs are one-time purchases that never expire, and the receipt is exactly what gives them back to you on a new phone.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and erase personal data about you, and to request restriction, object to processing or receive your data in a portable form.

In practice: because VORS has no accounts, we usually hold nothing that can be linked to you. The fastest way to erase everything the app has stored is to delete the app. For purchases, Apple is the one to ask.

Write to support@vorsappen.no to exercise your rights. We answer as fast as we can, and within one month at the latest. If you disagree with how we handle data, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet): datatilsynet.no.

Children

VORS is a drinking game for adults, age-rated for adults on the App Store and marked 18+ in the app. It is not directed at children, and we do not collect data from children.

Security

All traffic between the app, the website and these services is encrypted over HTTPS. The app has read-only access to the content database and contains no secret keys.

About vorsappen.no

The site has no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts. The fonts are served from our own server, so your browser talks to nobody else. There is no cookie banner here, because there is nothing to consent to.

The host logs ordinary technical requests — IP address, timestamp, which page — to keep the site up and safe.

Changes

When the app changes, this page changes. The date at the top is always the last edit. We announce significant changes here on this page and in the app’s release notes.
